On Thursday, October 23, 2025, between 12:00 and 12:30 p.m., a husband and a father of two was forcibly detained by immigration enforcement officers outside his family’s home in the Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago, near Guaranteed Rate Field and Robert Healy Elementary School. According to neighbors who witnessed the incident, ICE agents did not present a warrant before taking him into custody. The man was being held at the Broadview processing facility and has since been moved to a facility in Michigan. The husband’s family reached out to CASL for legal consultation and translation support. CASL is monitoring the situation closely and has helped the family hire an immigration attorney
